"I'm Yasmin, and I have been working with you through QUALITAS Housing. I have submitted several referrals for residents living in our supported living accommodation, and I wanted to personally thank you for the excellent support you have provided.

We are extremely grateful for the way you have worked alongside us and for allowing us to access your service. The residents are very happy and have expressed how thankful they are for the care and support you have offered. Your input has made a real positive difference.

Thank you once again for your continued support and collaboration."

The story of an incredible man...

Denis found himself in a terrible situation following a severe stroke in 2022 at the age of 61 years. He had led an interesting and varied life and more recently was a solo transatlantic sailor but the stroke left him paralysed on his right hand side and with very little speech. Although all his friends agreed he had capacity, the Authorities argued otherwise and he unluckily landed in the hands of Social Services. He suffered the most terrible of ordeals which I am not allowed to detail and was quickly rinsed of everything he ever worked for. For the purpose of keeping this 'Shout Out' short and relevant, Denis moved into an unfurnished property in Falmouth in November 2024. He had nothing apart from the clothes on his back. Hidden Help gave countless household items to furnish his new pad from cutlery to bedding, table lamps to a microwave. The assistance was invaluable and Denis was soon living comfortably and independently. I cannot thank Judy, Wendy and the team of volunteers for their kindness. Should anyone be looking to rehome decent household items, please do consider Hidden Help so others like Denis can benefit.

"Good morning Judy, I would love to express my thanks to you and the team, for showing so much kindness to our family in our time of need.

We had nothing, and now we feel like we have a home. My children are now sleeping in their own rooms because they have a bed and they feel more at home.

Yesterday was my son's birthday and today is my daughter's and what a lovely surprise to come home to a lovely table and chairs. I am totally grateful for all your help and the help of the drivers, those carrying the furniture, those arranging it and those who donated and sorted it out for the driver to deliver. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

In 2025 we expanded and moved to the Wheal Rose Industrial Estate, taking over an old builder's merchant premises and warehouse enabling us to expand our shop significantly, and to store more items for clients.  Being close to the A30 also has improved access.

We made more than 15% more deliveries / households helped versus 2024, supporting 942 adults and 527 children, not including those on the way.

2025

We help a people in a wide range of difficult situations where they need our support for basic household items

People are referred to us through a significant number of organisations that we work with

Whilst we cover all Cornwall our support has areas of higher indicence / concentration

2023

During 2023, Hidden Help grew by 60%, helping a record 552 households. We took on 2 new units at Primrose Workshops at the end of 2023 - units A and E to help us to cope with this, to make a total of 4 warehouses and a shop and office.

How we raise money

We are funded our shop selling vintage items, fundraising and donations from supporters.

What we spend money on

We are entirely run by volunteers with a part time admin.  Here is how we spend funds.  It includes the need to purchase carpet tiles, curtain rails and clothes rails which we typically cannot get from people locally.
